Team Work Afrika (TWA) is a local based, non- governmental, non-profit making organization, dedicated to establishing and maintaining developmental programs, finding and providing opportunities for children who are victims of HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Cholera, Hepatitis, Diabetes, Pneumonia and absolute poverty, man-made and natural catastrophic conditions in Uganda. It was established in 2008, with an aim of promoting children’s rights and mobilizing resources for their well-being.

Our Programs - Volunteer Placement Program

Team Work Afrika

Team Work Afrika (TWA) is a local Community based, non- governmental, non-profit making organization, dedicated to establishing and maintaining developmental programs, finding and providing opportunities for children who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, and are living in absolute poverty, who suffer because of malaria, man-made and natural catastrophic conditions in Uganda. It was established in 2008, with an aim of promoting children’s rights and mobilizing resources for their well-being.

Team Work Afrika is mandated to spearhead community based interventions to improve the wellbeing of communities in Uganda. Team Work Africa has adopted a strategy of working with other community based organizations in Uganda in order to reach out the grass root communities in Uganda.

Team Work Afrika Volunteer Placement Program.

In order to champion development Team Work Africa has opened doors for international Volunteers to come and work in Uganda with the local communities. This program offers the opportunity for people to share skills and learn from each other.
Our Volunteer Program offers meaningful tailor-made volunteering placements in Ugandan Communities in the field of community development. We welcome volunteers from any part of the world provided he or she agrees with the terms and conditions for volunteers through our program. The main areas in which volunteers are placed include Heath, (Malaria, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, Diabetes, Cervical cancer and all health related issues) Child education, human rights, economic development, environmental, Agriculture, Orphanage, Vocational skills training and conservation, Research and development. Water Hygiene and sanitation, Nutrition, and dietary discipline.

Team Work Afrika believes Volunteering is a vital program for development because it offers an opportunity for equal exchange of skills and experiences between our volunteers and our partner in community based organizations.

Requirements for Joining Our Volunteer Program.

If you are interested in Volunteering in Uganda through our Program you are requested to submit in your application to the volunteer Placement Coordinator. The application should explain the experience of the applicant, the interests, the duration of her voluntary work in Uganda it should be noted that the minimum period is two weeks at the project of the host community based organization.

The applicant pays a fee of 800 US dollars this amount is for handling all the corespondance work including visiting the projects where the volunteer will work and transport of the volunteer up to his or her volunteer placement organization from Entebbe Airport. After expressing interest through the application the volunteer will get more information about Uganda
