Climate change

Climate change and biodiversity degradation have been responsible for the unstable weather conditions affecting the production and productivity of most agricultural products. This has lead to continual forest cutting in search of virgin land for cultivation. The situation has been made worse by indiscriminate tree cutting for wood fuel and other domestic usage, improper disposal of non- biodegradables, bush and soil burning with poor farming practices.

TWA as an advocate of climate change, adaptation, mitigation and biodiversity conservation seeks to address the above issues by sensitizing communities on biodiversity conservation and practicing:

– Agro-forestry
– Afforestation
– Proper waste disposal and recycling
– Tree nursery establishment
– Energy saving stoves
– Biogas construction and use
– Improved farming technologies  TWA has gone a step further in improving youth skills development through:
– Making and using energy saving stoves
– Making briquettes from waste materials
– Commercial nursery beds
– Crafts from non-degradable
– Planting and growing trees
– Farming as a business
